Toutefois, ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, la fr\u00e9quence des souches r\u00e9sistantes \u00e0 ces m\u00e9dicaments a consid\u00e9rablement augment\u00e9, rendant ces infections beaucoup plus difficiles \u00e0 traiter.<\/p>\n<p>Une \u00e9quipe dirig\u00e9e par le Dr Amelia Barber du groupe d&rsquo;excellence \u00ab Balance of the Microverse \u00bb de l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 Friedrich Schiller de Jena et le Dr Grit Walther du Centre national de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence pour les infections fongiques invasives (NRZMyk) a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 une \u00e9pid\u00e9mie d&rsquo;un multi-m\u00e9dicament. souche r\u00e9sistante et nosocomiale de ce champignon. Les chercheurs ont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une nouvelle m\u00e9thode de d\u00e9tection mol\u00e9culaire capable de diff\u00e9rencier rapidement et de mani\u00e8re rentable les souches de C. parapsilosis.<\/p>\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats sont publi\u00e9s dans <i>Le microbe Lancet<\/i>.<\/p>\n<h2>Un champignon dangereux se propage<\/h2>\n<p>L&rsquo;\u00e9tude fournit une analyse g\u00e9nomique d\u00e9taill\u00e9e d&rsquo;une \u00e9pid\u00e9mie de longue dur\u00e9e provoqu\u00e9e par C. parapsilosis r\u00e9sistante aux antimicrobiens dans plusieurs \u00e9tablissements de sant\u00e9 de Berlin. L\u2019\u00e9quipe de recherche a d\u00e9couvert qu\u2019une seule souche g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement indiscernable a provoqu\u00e9 \u00e0 elle seule 33 infections invasives entre 2018 et 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Bien que leur nombre puisse para\u00eetre faible \u00e0 premi\u00e8re vue, les infections invasives n\u00e9cessitent toujours des soins m\u00e9dicaux intensifs et entra\u00eenent de graves alt\u00e9rations de la qualit\u00e9 de vie. Ce qui est particuli\u00e8rement inqui\u00e9tant, c\u2019est que l\u2019agent pathog\u00e8ne s\u2019est propag\u00e9 d\u2019une personne \u00e0 l\u2019autre et \u00e9galement entre diff\u00e9rents \u00e9tablissements. Sa r\u00e9sistance aux m\u00e9dicaments antifongiques pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9s en fait une menace s\u00e9rieuse.<\/p>\n<p>Il est important de noter que la souche provenant des h\u00f4pitaux de Berlin \u00e9tait \u00e9troitement li\u00e9e \u00e0 des souches d\u00e9j\u00e0 trouv\u00e9es au Canada, au Moyen-Orient et en Asie de l&rsquo;Est, d\u00e9montrant ainsi la propagation mondiale de champignons r\u00e9sistants aux m\u00e9dicaments.<\/p>\n<h2>D\u00e9veloppement d&rsquo;un sch\u00e9ma de typage innovant<\/h2>\n<p>Dans leur \u00e9tude, les chercheurs ont non seulement d\u00e9couvert les relations g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques et la dynamique de transmission des souches de C. parapsilosis associ\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9pid\u00e9mie, mais ont \u00e9galement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une nouvelle strat\u00e9gie d\u2019identification (typage) pour cet agent pathog\u00e8ne. Cette strat\u00e9gie de typage, connue sous le nom de Multilocus Sequence Typing (MLST), implique le s\u00e9quen\u00e7age de plusieurs r\u00e9gions d&rsquo;ADN courtes pour distinguer g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement les souches. Cela offre une alternative moins co\u00fbteuse et plus rapide au s\u00e9quen\u00e7age du g\u00e9nome entier.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Le programme MLST nouvellement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 permet une diff\u00e9renciation et un suivi rapides et rentables des souches de C. parapsilosis. Cela nous permet de r\u00e9agir rapidement aux nouvelles \u00e9pid\u00e9mies et de contenir efficacement ce champignon souvent r\u00e9sistant aux m\u00e9dicaments. Ceci est particuli\u00e8rement utile lorsque le s\u00e9quen\u00e7age du g\u00e9nome n&rsquo;est tout simplement pas possible. possible en raison du co\u00fbt ou du manque de connaissances locales en bioinformatique \u00bb, explique le Dr Barber, chef du groupe de recherche junior en informatique fongique \u00e0 l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Jena.<\/p>\n<p>Le Dr Walther, co-auteur de l&rsquo;article et codirecteur du NRZMyk \u00e0 l&rsquo;Institut Leibniz pour la recherche sur les produits naturels et la biologie des infections \u2013 Institut Hans Kn\u00f6ll (Leibniz-HKI), ajoute : \u00ab L&rsquo;\u00e9tude met en \u00e9vidence l&rsquo;importance de reconna\u00eetre rapidement les champignons. infections et r\u00e9sistances possibles afin de pr\u00e9venir la transmission \u00e0 d&rsquo;autres patients ou \u00e0 d&rsquo;autres \u00e9tablissements.
