Credit: Yorifumi Satou, Kumamoto University'>\n<figure class=\"article-img\">\n<\/figure><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Des chercheurs de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Kumamoto ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 une avanc\u00e9e significative dans la lutte contre le COVID-19 en d\u00e9veloppant \u00ab\u00a0Intelli-OVI,\u00a0\u00bb un outil de diagnostic de pointe capable d\u2019identifier rapidement les variantes \u00e9mergentes du virus SARS-CoV-2.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;ouvrage est publi\u00e9 dans la revue <i>M\u00e9decine de la communication<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>Ce nouveau syst\u00e8me combine une technologie avanc\u00e9e de d\u00e9tection de l\u2019ADN avec des algorithmes informatiques pour offrir une m\u00e9thode plus rapide et plus rentable de surveillance des mutations virales, qui pourraient jouer un r\u00f4le crucial dans la gestion des futures pand\u00e9mies.<\/p>\n<h2>Une nouvelle \u00e8re dans la d\u00e9tection des virus<\/h2>\n<p>\u00c0 mesure que la pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19 progresse, malgr\u00e9 l\u2019augmentation de la vaccination et l\u2019immunit\u00e9 collective contre les infections pass\u00e9es contribuant \u00e0 une diminution des cas graves par rapport aux premiers stades, de nouveaux variants du virus SARS-CoV-2 sont apparus, posant des d\u00e9fis importants au public. surveillance et r\u00e9ponse sanitaires.<\/p>\n<p>Les m\u00e9thodes traditionnelles, comme le s\u00e9quen\u00e7age du g\u00e9nome entier (WGS), bien que pr\u00e9cises, prennent du temps et sont co\u00fbteuses. Intelli-OVI offre une alternative plus rapide, combinant la technologie de micro-disque IntelliPlex avec un algorithme innovant, l&rsquo;identification objective des variantes (OVI), pour d\u00e9tecter et diff\u00e9rencier plus de 20 variantes du SRAS-CoV-2 avec une grande pr\u00e9cision.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Notre syst\u00e8me peut \u00eatre facilement mis \u00e0 jour pour suivre les nouvelles mutations virales,\u00a0\u00bb a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le professeur Yorifumi Satou, chercheur principal du Centre commun de recherche sur les infections \u00e0 r\u00e9trovirus humains (JRCHRI), Universit\u00e9 de Kumamoto. \u00ab\u00a0Cette adaptabilit\u00e9 est cruciale pour la d\u00e9tection pr\u00e9coce des variants \u00e9mergents, permettant ainsi d\u2019agir rapidement pour emp\u00eacher leur propagation.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<h2>Comment fonctionne Intelli-OVI<\/h2>\n<p>La technologie IntelliPlex utilise des microdisques, imprim\u00e9s avec un motif pictural unique (\u03c0Code), pour capturer et analyser des mutations g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques sp\u00e9cifiques du virus. Cela permet au syst\u00e8me de traiter plusieurs mutations virales simultan\u00e9ment, acc\u00e9l\u00e9rant ainsi consid\u00e9rablement le processus de d\u00e9tection. L&rsquo;algorithme OVI interpr\u00e8te ensuite les donn\u00e9es, identifiant les variantes connues et nouvelles en analysant les mod\u00e8les de mutation uniques.<\/p>\n<p>Lors de tests en laboratoire, Intelli-OVI a identifi\u00e9 avec succ\u00e8s plus de 20 variantes, dont plusieurs sous-types de la variante omicron, en utilisant 35 sondes ADN diff\u00e9rentes. Contrairement aux m\u00e9thodes traditionnelles bas\u00e9es sur la PCR, qui se limitent \u00e0 d\u00e9tecter un petit nombre de mutations, Intelli-OVI peut th\u00e9oriquement analyser jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 100 sites de mutation virale \u00e0 la fois, ce qui en fait l&rsquo;un des outils de diagnostic les plus complets disponibles.<\/p>\n<h2>Regarder vers l&rsquo;avenir<\/h2>\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce au d\u00e9veloppement r\u00e9ussi d\u2019Intelli-OVI, l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Kumamoto est sur le point de contribuer de mani\u00e8re significative \u00e0 la pr\u00e9paration mondiale \u00e0 une pand\u00e9mie.
